GrowthRise Mastermind Recap September 15, 2026
Today we held our weekly GrowthRise Mastermind call. Below is the recap post on the topics we covered today.
📣 Topic: Meta Ads Performance
Challenges: Initially low click-through rates when sending traffic to a landing page.
Advice:
- Embedding the lead form directly within the ad yielded significantly better results, averaging 15–20 leads/day.
- About 20% of leads are discarded due to blocked emails or unreliable sites.
🔍 Topic: Google Ads / PMAX Strategy
Challenges: Google is discontinuing standalone Display Ads; conversion tracking setup is causing errors before campaigns can launch.
Advice:
- Use PMAX for display/YouTube, but be cautious — PMAX offers less audience control and can generate junk leads.
- For Google Search, go narrow and specific (e.g., competitor replacement keywords) to avoid high costs in broad, competitive categories.
📈 Topic: Scaling Lead Volume (Meta)
Challenges: Goal is 100 leads/day vs. current ~20; cost per lead is ~$3, unlikely to drop much lower.
Advice:
- Before scaling budget aggressively, wait to see how leads progress through the funnel to avoid investing heavily in junk.
- Two levers: increase budget or test new variables to lower cost-per-lead.
📬 Topic: E-Book & Newsletter Strategy
Challenges: Uncertainty about sustaining newsletter content after the book's chapters are exhausted.
Advice:
- Release the e-book chapter-by-chapter via newsletter (bi-weekly to extend to ~20 weeks).
- Use it as a free lead magnet before it goes live on Amazon.
- Supplement with interviews and customer stories.
👥 Topic: LinkedIn Thought Leader Ads
Challenges: Company is relatively unknown; standard ads underperformed.
Advice:
- Partner with a known industry thought leader or the cybersecurity book author to run Thought Leader Ads targeting your audience.
- Typically text-based with an optional image; cheapest when no link is included.

Best Advice
Across the board, the throughline is discipline before scale: embed lead forms directly in ads rather than sending traffic to landing pages, but wait to see how leads move through the funnel before pouring more budget in. On the Google side, lean on PMAX for display/YouTube while staying narrow and specific with Search keywords to avoid competitive cost spikes. For content, stretch the e-book into a bi-weekly newsletter lead magnet ahead of its Amazon launch, and borrow credibility on LinkedIn by partnering with a known thought leader rather than running standard ads solo.
