1) Topics Covered

Topic: Reddit & GEO (Generative Engine Optimization)

  • Challenges: New to Reddit marketing and Core/GEO strategies; uncertainty about audience engagement on Reddit; difficulty knowing if the target industry is active on the platform
  • Advice: Focus on industries where target audiences actively use Reddit; become a thought leader by consistently commenting and starting threads in relevant subreddits; treat it like social media requiring dedicated, consistent engagement; content needs time (6-12 months) to be absorbed into language model training data; consider it a long-term investment rather than quick wins

Topic: AI Tools for Marketing Operations

  • Challenges: Building complex workflows and automations; reporting across multiple platforms; determining which AI tool is best for different tasks; time investment in setup and prompting
  • Advice: Use Claude for content generation, SEO work, and complex reporting with proper connectors (like Ahrefs); Perplexity Computer excels at building complex operations from simple prompts; invest time upfront in configuration as it pays off long-term; maintain human oversight especially for B2B marketing where precision matters more than volume

Topic: AI Agents in Marketing

  • Challenges: Uncertainty about replacing marketing team functions; agents often produce unusable output; difficulty achieving end-to-end automation
  • Advice: View agents as augmentation rather than replacement; expect to reduce auxiliary positions (operations, analytics, copywriting) rather than core strategists; maintain human oversight for campaign management; focus on using agents to eliminate bottlenecks in content and image creation; test extensively as many promoted agents don't deliver promised value

2) Tools Recommended

  • Claude - Content generation, SEO briefs, keyword research, daily workflow optimization, reporting, skills/projects feature for structured work
  • Perplexity Computer - Complex workflow automation, brand library creation, multi-model integration
  • Canva - Image creation with Magic Background tool for AI-assisted design
  • Cometly - Ad tracking and attribution
  • Ahrefs - Keyword research (via Claude connector)
  • ChatGPT - Image generation (though members are moving away from it for most tasks)
  • Google Sheets plugins - Data management and automation

3) Best Advice

The most valuable advice centered on starting content creation today for future AI visibility: Content created now won't immediately appear in language model training data—it takes 6-12 months to be incorporated into core training models. While real-time web search can pull current content, the foundational training data is historical. Therefore, the best strategy is to begin consistent content creation across platforms (Reddit, blogs, YouTube) immediately, so that content will be part of future training models. This applies equally to Reddit engagement, blog posting, and other content strategies—the key is consistent, long-term commitment rather than expecting immediate results.
