1. Topics Covered

Topic: Landing Page Strategy for Partner Campaigns

Challenge: With ~1,000 MSPs total, hyper-specific landing pages risk insufficient traffic for statistically significant data, yet generic pages may reduce engagement.
Advice: Go with more custom/targeted landing pages to improve conversion odds; avoid bottom-of-funnel CTAs (e.g., "Book a Demo") too early — use educational content first, then retarget.

Topic: HubSpot Engagement Tracking

Challenge: Zero HubSpot-tracked engagement from LinkedIn ad clicks, even for existing contacts.
Advice: HubSpot tracking requires prior opt-in and active cookies; cookies expire (often ~90 days). Consider a HubSpot expert to audit setup, and explore tools like HockeyStack for ad attribution.

Topic: Meta Ads & Google PMAX Strategy

Challenge: Never run Meta ads before; PMAX risks attracting junk leads for narrow ICPs.
Advice: Use matched audience lists (enriched via tools like Clay) on Meta with Advantage Plus targeting; be specific in ad copy so Meta's algorithm finds the right audience. PMAX works better for broad ICPs — use display ads with matched lists instead.

Topic: Agency Positioning

Challenge: Expanding services beyond SEO/AEO risks losing differentiation.
Advice: The broader the services, the narrower the industry focus should be. Leverage a partner's CMO-level experience to add depth and credibility without necessarily changing the agency's core positioning.

2. Tools Recommended

  • Clay — data enrichment to get personal emails/phone numbers for Meta audience lists
  • HockeyStack — cross-channel ad attribution tracking
  • Meta Advantage Plus — algorithmic audience expansion from matched lists

3. Best Advice

"The broader you go in terms of services, the narrower you should go in terms of industries." — This applies both to agency positioning and ad targeting: focus on a well-defined niche to stand out in a crowded market.
