1. Topics Covered
Topic: AI for Marketing Content Creation
- Challenges: Finding the right AI tools for generating blog content, video creation (length limitations), and ensuring content quality
- Advice: Use AI as a thought starter for copywriters; employ spam analysis tools for email campaigns; implement proper markup language (LD JSON, aside tags) for SEO optimization; Canva offers decent AI functions for basic image creation with headlines
Topic: LinkedIn Message Ads
- Challenges: Determining optimal message length, addressing pain points effectively, achieving good match rates with target lists
- Advice: Keep messages short and focused; address 3 specific pain points in bullet format; target competitors' customers directly; expect ~50 cents per message with 60-70% open rates; use list building tools to identify decision-makers; click-to-booking conversion can be 90-100%
Topic: Trade Show Marketing
- Challenges: Reaching attendees before/during events, converting business emails to personal for Meta targeting
- Advice: Use Meta ads with radius targeting around venue addresses; upload attendee lists to ad platforms (need few hundred minimum); use Clay for enriching business emails to personal contact information
Topic: Email List Hygiene
- Challenges: Identifying honeypot/spam trap emails in purchased data, maintaining list quality
- Advice: Clean lists before sending to avoid deliverability issues; be cautious with Apollo data as it may contain honey trap emails
2. Tools Recommended
- Canva (AI image creation)
- Apollo (contact data enrichment and LinkedIn profile acquisition)
- Built With (identify competitor technology usage)
- Clay (data enrichment for personal emails/phone numbers; credit-based pricing)
- ZoomInfo (contact data; compared with Apollo)
- ChatGPT (content generation and spam analysis)
- Gemini (content generation and spam analysis)
3. Best Advice
The most valuable advice was the LinkedIn message ads strategy: build highly targeted lists of competitors' customers, send personalized messages at ~50 cents each addressing 3 specific pain points, and expect strong open rates (60-70%) with high click-to-booking conversion (90-100%). This approach works particularly well for B2B companies with high-value contracts where prospects may be locked into competitor agreements but will eventually enter buying cycles.
