GrowthRise Mastermind Recap August 18, 2026
Today we held our weekly GrowthRise Mastermind call. Below is the recap post on the topics we covered today.
Targeting Traditional Manufacturing Companies (Food Machinery)
Topic: Exploring a niche of food machinery manufacturers who lack marketing staff.
Challenges:
- These companies rely on old-school, relationship-based sales rather than digital marketing.
- Their LinkedIn content is highly technical with no value-based messaging.
- Overcoming inertia is the primary hurdle — not just competing with others.
Advice:
- Expect resistance to new marketing approaches; be prepared to prove your process works.
- Case studies and testimonials from within their industry will be critical.
Trade Show Preparation Sprint (Entry-Level Offer)
Topic: Proposed entry service to revamp messaging and collateral before trade shows.
Challenges:
- Companies currently attend trade shows but fail to communicate ROI or business value.
- No major red flags, but market reception is uncertain.
Advice:
- Align marketing around upcoming industry trade shows as a hook.
- Test the offer to see if the market finds value in it.
Website Readiness Before Client Calls
Topic: Whether a website is necessary before an upcoming prospect call.
Challenges:
- No website currently live; prospects may check the domain after receiving an email.
Advice:
- Have something live — even a basic site is better than nothing.
- Use AI tools (e.g., Claude) to build a decent site quickly.
ABM Marketing as a Service Model
Topic: Considering ABM marketing as a core service offering.
Challenges:
- Must demonstrate ability to serve the target industry specifically.
Advice:
- Lock down the target industry first, then build authority through webinars, speeches, and content.
- Demonstrating industry expertise is the foundation for attracting clients.
